Fighting Climate Change With Sustainable Business
But what does a “sustainable business” look like? A majority of companies are coming out with sustainability statements, but it can be tough to know who is legit. That’s why ours is more than a statement, it’s the foundation of our business, and its plain and simple:
• We use a 3 step approach to hold ourselves accountable
• Set OKRs to reduce our footprint
• Commit to concrete changes in the near and long term
Our Approach
Measure
We measure every activity that contributes to our carbon footprint, from the sourcing of raw material to delivering a ring at your door. To be technical, that includes:
-
• scope 1: Direct emissions from our facilities and vehicles
• scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, steam, heating, and cooling
• scope 3: Indirect emissions that occur through our supply chain
Reduce
We’re working to reduce beyond just carbon neutral, but while our internal reductions are important, they also take time to implement completely. That is why they should be paired with 100% offsetting in the near term to support our transition to net-zero emissions.
Offset
While working towards our longer-term climate goals, we offset our emissions to fulfill our responsibility to the earth as a carbon neutral business.
Its important to know that carbon offsets are not all created equal. We work with trusted partners to source projects that our certified by global carbon offset standards and that we personally believe in.
It's important to us that the projects we sponsor uplift local communities and build carbon reduction and sequestration back into our supply chain.

Support
We are just one company, and will it never be close to enough for us to merely be sustainable ourselves.
There needs to be a fundamental shift in priorities on a societal scale if we're going to make a dent in climate issues our planet is facing. The most effective way to motivate such a shift is through movements.
We're doing this by supporting the Climate Emergency Fund and The Sunrise Movement
